Innovative Space Management training programme

We are the only company in the UK offering a specialist training programme to enable housing professionals to implement innovative space management solutions in social housing. Tackling overcrowding is an acute problem for many social housing providers because it can seriously affect the wellbeing of the families affected. Often there is no quick solution because alternative housing is scarce.

Our one day training programme combines a series of lectures and presentations with practical task-based group work to equip participants with the basic skills to assist their tenants in implementing basic architectural adaptations to their flats to better manage the limited space they have - or to do what private developers have done for many decades: extend existing flats. The seminar is split into four segments:

1. Understanding scale - a crash-course in architecture

2. Moving walls and adding partitions - what to look out for in the Building
Regulations

3. Extending - when to apply for planning permission

4. How to get it build - introducing the architect and other building professionals
